Casey's Version - Where do I begin??...Well I knew who Trevor Fabing was since I was in high school as I played softball with Taylor (Trevor's sister). Trevor went to Hollister and I went to rival high school, Gilroy. Trevor played football and baseball and I played softball. I always thought Trevor was attractive and athletic, but our hearts never connected. In 2021, I applied for an open position at Hollister High School and ended up turning down the job to stay in Philadelphia another year. In April 2022, the job was posted again, I applied and accepted it to start in July. I hadn't seen Trevor in 10+ years, but I thought to myself, at least I would know a familiar name starting the new position. I remember going into the first day of football practice a little nervous because I didn't think he would know who I was. However, it didn't take long, at the first morning of football at 6am he shouted "Good morning Case!" Trevor trying to be "smooth", messaged me on insta asking if I was ready for the first day of work and if I got my classroom all set up. We messaged back and forth for a couple days and finally I just gave him my number (everyone knows I am not a social media communicator). To be honest, I think it was the handstand walks that did it for me. Every day I would get out to football practice and Trevor would be doing handstand walks across the field. The kids would come up and say "Ms. Lester, he never does those, he is just trying to win you over and show off". Well, it worked, and we went out to dinner on our first "date" to Las Micheladas (there aren't many options in Hollister) and began our journey. Our love of football, golfing, Lululemon and challenging each other are just some of the things that we enjoy together. It hasn't always been the straightest or easiest path but we have battled through the obstacles together and found a love that is pure. I wouldn't change our story for anything and I am so excited to continue to build this life together. My one goal by the time we're 40, Trev will wear the Kelly Green proud. Here's to our forever, Aloha TD. Trevors Version: On August 4th, 2022, we had our first official day of football practice bright and early at 6am. As we were starting warmups, I saw this blonde girl driving a golf cart onto the field. As we are warming up, all I’m hearing from my players is, “you wont go up to her”, “You’re scared coach”. As she was standing in the middle of the field, waiting for practice to get started, I went up to her and instantly knew that this would be special. Later that week, I asked her to go to dinner with me at Las Micheladas. When she told me at dinner that she enjoys staying in on Saturdays to watch College Football, I knew she was the one.
