The Story Of Us

(Written by Taylor)

We met in October of 2016, through a mutual friend; we were both dealing with a very similar “rough patch” at the time, and meeting each other could not have been more perfect timing. We officially met in person on October 21st & the very first words he said to me were “Hey, I’m José,” I know, real smooth, lol! Our first date was the very next day & on that very day, I knew I loved him, and vice versa. We took things pretty quickly from that point forward, because in our hearts, love has no time frame. We made it “official” on November 1st, & we moved in together the following March. Trevor’s job required a lot of traveling & very little time home, so we bought a camper, packed up our lives, & traveled through Mississippi together for a year. In that year we learned every aspect about each other: the good, the bad, the great, & the ugly, and it helped us to grow together, as one. We also had our first child, Makers; the best dog there ever was. We honestly could not imagine life without him in it. After the year passed, things changed, opportunities arised, we made a slight career adjustment & took a new job opportunity, & moved back home at the very end of 2017. With this new job, I could no longer travel with Trevor, so I spent a lot of time at home without him for weeks on end; it was a huge adjustment for all of us, but I still hold the title of being a Lineman’s Lady very proudly, no matter how difficult it may get! 2018 was a roller coaster. It was all about learning a lot about a lot, adjusting to new lifestyles, and growing tremendously as a couple. Then 2019 came along, & on March 23rd, Trevor proposed to me, right there in our kitchen. He had this big special day planned out for the next day, but he was too excited, & the ring must’ve been burning a hole in his pocket, so as soon as we walked into the house, he proposed. And here we are planning the wedding our of dreams, & loving every moment!
