Great way to see the best of our Nation's capital is by visiting the National Mall/Tidal Basin area and touring the monuments and museums. Depending on the time of day and year, parking can be easy found directly along the National Mall.
This historic and nationally recognized recreational trail stretches over 180 miles from Washington, DC to Cumberland, MD all along the Potomac River. Daniel has ran hundreds, if not thousands of miles along this path and vouches that it great to visit any time of the year. The trail has numerous access points, some as close as 10 minutes from Frederick, but we recommend Carderock for its access to the very popular Billy Goat Trail.
While our wedding venue is alongside Carroll Creek, the Creek meanders through the heart of historic downtown Frederick and is worthy of exploration. Lined with dozens of shops, the busiest stretch of Carroll Creek runs from Union Mills, through downtown Frederick, and continues alongside Baker Park.
While residing in West Virginia, the town is uniquely positioned at the nexus of West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland as well as the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. Walk the town and visit the local shops, or walk across the river along an old train bridge to hike the Maryland Heights trail for panoramic views.
