Things To Do
Downtown Highlands
A charming mountain town located approximately 20 minutes away from the venue! Primarily composed of small, local businesses, there is plenty to do. Stroll around downtown and stop in for a bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants. Parking is easy and is located on Main Street with additional parking on Spring Street, Fourth Street and Carolina Way.
Hiking
There are no bad hikes in the area especially in the Fall! A few favorites include Turtle Back Falls at Gorges State Park, High Falls (make sure to check out Hap's Place for a bite after!), Glen Falls, or for an easy stroll, check out the lake around Highlands' Nature Center. If these hikes aren't quite what you are looking for, check out All Trails or the Highlands' Chamber of Commerce website for more recommendations!
Golf
It will be an excellent time of year for golf! There are a few public golf courses nearby - Sky Valley Golf Course, Franklin Golf Course, and Sapphire National Golf Club. Definitely consider booking tee times in advance as it is a popular time.
Fishing
There are plenty of streams and rivers to settle in and cast your reel- although Google or the Highlands Chamber of Commerce will probably be more helpful than us at recommending a spot. If you are considering a guided fly fishing experience, check out Headwaters Outfitters or Brookings Fly Shop. Recommend booking at least 1-2 months out from your desired date.
Pickleball
There are pickleball courts on the venue site open to all. Feel free to swing by and enjoy the beautifully redone courts whenever you would like. Of note, the courts will be reserved for the wedding party Friday October 18 from 11AM-1PM. There are additional courts located within Sky Valley near the clubhouse.
