In February 2019, I posted that I was struggling and could use some help before a big test. Trenton messaged me and offered to help, and what was supposed to be a quick study session turned into us FaceTiming until 2 or 3 in the morning. He patiently walked me through concepts, calmed my nerves with all his jokes, and somehow made studying actually fun. The next afternoon, he surprised me by bringing me coffee before class. While dropping it off, he asked me on our first date and offered to pick me up from my house that Friday. I said yes, and honestly, we haven't stopped dating since. On March 15, 2019, we officially became a couple, but looking back, it felt like we both knew from the very beginning that there was something special between us. Over the years, we've grown up together. We survived nursing school, became nurses, celebrated milestones, bought our first home, and built a life that we absolutely love. Somewhere along the way, we welcomed Willow, our sweet Labrador, who quickly stole our hearts and became the center of our world. One of my favorite memories is the day we got the keys to our house. I thought we were just moving into our dream home, but Trenton had a bigger surprise planned. He somehow convinced me to leave for a little while, and when we came back, the house was filled with candles and rose petals. Standing in the middle of the home we had worked so hard for, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Since that day, we've spent so much time dreaming about this next chapter. What started with a late-night biology lesson has turned into a love story that neither of us could have imagined, and we feel incredibly lucky that it led us here. We have always said that our love story is our greatest adventure. From late-night study sessions and coffee dates to nursing school, becoming nurses, buying our first home, and raising Willow, every chapter has been better than the last. Now we're so excited to begin our next adventure as husband and wife, surrounded by the people we love most. We can't wait to celebrate with you as we finally say "I do."
