October 9th is the new date, y'all! By golly we are sure eager to see you all and celebrate! Let me first say a thank you to you all for being patient with our endless rescheduling! Believe me, we are praying that October will allow us to gather together as family and friends and not only celebrate our marriage, but also to simply celebrate being together again! Remember: please RSVP by September 10th, 2021, even if you already did before! Our original plans of being married with all of our favorite people in attendance were interrupted by COVID in the Spring of 2020. Even after two other rescheduling, we have found that we will all be able to make the most of this celebration if we hold off until the Fall of 2021. Here's what we've been up to in the mean time: With all of the craziness that 2020 brought, Trenton and I decided to hold a beautiful small vows ceremony with our parents in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado! It was a joyous day, and we are so happy to be husband and wife! We still want all of our favorite people to celebrate our marriage with us in Oregon as originally planned. To have the ceremony and reception we’ve been anticipating, we have decided to postpone the date again until October 9th of 2021. Our hope is that by waiting, we can have everyone in attendance and be under less COVID-19 restrictions. We can't wait to laugh and hug and eat good food together!

At the beginning of our third year of architecture school, we were placed into the same studio class. We hadn't had classes together until then and caught each other's eye on the first day. Our studio project for the term led our class to take a camping trip to the project site out in Sandy, Oregon. Sitting around the campfire, Trenton's storytelling had Carlie giggling and Carlie's small town reminiscing caught Trenton's interest. It wasn't long after we returned from the camping trip that Trenton started to stop by Carlie's desk frequently. During finals week, we went on our first date. Trenton took Carlie out to breakfast before returning to studio to work on our final projects. A few coffee dates later, and we never left each others side.

On the first full day of vacation, Trenton's mom, DeAnna, insisted that the girls get manicures! After watching Miss Congeniality and The Princess Diaries in Spanish and a massage chair later, we were ready for vacation! We went to the grocery store in the afternoon and upon returning, Trenton wanted to go explore the resort! Carlie grabbed a handful of Oreos and we were off! We wandered across the resort buildings and out to the beach. A busy evening on the Acapulco beach, we came to a bit of a clearing where Carlie assumed we were just going to stand aside and take in the view; instead, Trenton turned in with sweet words, reached into his pocket, and got down on one knee.

Again, we have postponed our wedding festivities until Saturday, October 9th of 2021 in hopes that we will be able to celebrate with all of our favorite people without restrictions! We chose to hold a very small vows ceremony with our parents out here in Colorado which was beautiful and amazing! Though, we saved all of the traditions and excitement of a full ceremony and reception to share with you all in Oregon on Saturday, October 9th at The Barn PNW!
