He was in his second year of law school and she had just turned twenty-one. It was a chilly night in the middle of November where they met at Culinary Dropout for dinner after a week of conversing online. She was fashionably late so she could make an entrance but he wasn't there yet. Confused, she sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. A woman next to her asked, "what are you doing tonight darling?". She responded with, "I'm supposed to be on a first date, but he isn't here yet". Worried she was being stood up, she checked her phone and saw a text saying, "I am on my way, got stuck in traffic. I even tried to leave early but there are two accidents on the freeway". Ten minutes pass by and out of the corner of her eye, she sees him walk in. She felt her heart skip a beat and she tried to maintain composure as he walked up to the bar and said hello. The woman at the bar said, "oh honey, he looks like a keeper". Four hours later, they closed down the restaurant, but didn't actually want to leave. She got in her car at the end of the night, bowed her head and prayed, thanking God that she had found the man of her dreams. Three years later on their anniversary, he got down on one knee and asked her a question that he already knew the answer to. It was the easiest "yes" she had ever said.
