Our Story

From Megan Our journey together began long before we ever imagined. We first met in kindergarten, grew up alongside each other, and kept our friendship strong all through high school. After heading off to different colleges, we reconnected towards the end of senior year in early 2020. I was pretty excited when Trent replied to my Snapchat story, and what started as casual conversation quickly rekindled our bond. It really felt like no time had passed. With a shared love for travel, we decided to take on an adventure we’ll never forget: a six-month road trip across the U.S., working remotely while exploring national parks and cities. What began as a short stay in Nashville in early 2021 ended up taking us all the way to Seattle. It’s been over 3 years, and I still often find myself remembering small moments from that trip. I think our relationship grew so much during that time. Having the chance to explore so many new places with someone I love was beyond special. From Trenton A moment I’ll never forget was arriving in Seattle after a long drive when Meg’s excitement to explore made me realize how perfectly we balance each other. After our road trip, Meg’s job required her to move to NYC, while I continued working remotely. We dove into the adventure of city life, leasing a 400-square-foot apartment in the Financial District near the World Trade Center. Those seven months in New York were unforgettable, and the city holds a special place in our hearts (and so does our favorite Cajun boil restaurant!). From NYC, we made our way to the Detroit metro area, where we could both work from local offices. In April 2024, I proposed on a trip to Salt Lake City, surrounded by the mountains we love so much. I wanted the moment to be special, just like Megan is to me. As I got down on one knee, I felt a mix of nerves and excitement, but all I could think about was how much I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. When she said yes, it felt like everything fell into place. Today, we’re still fueled by adventure. We love traveling, trying new restaurants, playing volleyball with friends, and cheering for our favorite soccer team, the Columbus Crew. We can’t wait to see what the future holds as we start this next chapter together!
