Casey and Trent met by belonging to the same engineering club at UCONN. Although they were both drawn to each other, both were too afraid to make the first move so the two were just friends for a couple of years. To kick off Casey’s senior year, her and her roommates decided to have a party at their apartment. Trent (obviously) got the invite to come and things would never be the same. The two paired up for a drinking game where their challengers were less than charming. Casey leaned over just before the game was to start and said "can you pretend to be my boyfriend, these guys creep me out" the quick response was "that won’t be hard to do." The rest is history.

It was a beautiful fall day and Casey and Trent decided to take a drive down to her family’s beach house to have a drink and see the family. Little did Casey know that Trent had been working with her sister’s behind her back for weeks to plan out the entire day. Trent had Casey’s sisters go to the beach early to set up photos, postcards, and notes that told their life story. When the couple arrived at the beach Casey was oblivious to it all and just went about saying hello and grabbing a drink. Eventually, Casey was asked to take some photos of her sisters by the water and this is when she caught eye of everything in the pavilion and Trent on his knee.
