Does traveling to Jamaica take a long time? Yes. Be prepared to go through Customs twice. You will go through customs before you leave the U.S. and again when you arrive in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This can be mentally draining, so be prepared and patient. Be sure to stay fueled and hydrated. Tip: you can travel with food in your carry-on, but no liquids.
What documents do I need to complete to travel to Jamaica? You will need to complete the C5 form: Immigration and Customs Declaration Form. This form takes about 10-15 minutes to complete. You should save the completed form to your phone or email for easy access. Please complete this document before you travel. Copy the link below to complete the form. https://www.enterjamaica.gov.jm/
Will I need additional funds in Jamaica? Yes! It’s not required, but there are extra activities at the resort you might want to try, and some of them come with a fee. You’ll also find chances to pick up souvenirs. One more thing—Jamaica isn’t a wealthy country, and many workers rely on tips, so it’s a good idea to bring some extra cash for tipping and a little extra fun!
Do I need to bring a gift? We kindly ask that you review our gift registry. There you will be able to donate to our New Home Fund, buy gift cards or other gifts. If you prefer to give a tangible item outside of the registry, please mail it to this address: 4315 Lesley Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46226 Small bridal and groom gifts are acceptable to receive in Jamaica. Please refrain from bringing any large gifts to Jamaica. We plan to depart for our honeymoon following the wedding and will be unable to carry any additional items home.
Are we required to stick with the proposed itinerary? While we would love for you join us in the family activities, you do not have to come to them. Jamaica is a beautiful island full of adventure. If you'd like to spend some time on an excursion, please feel free to do so.
