Trenise and her friend Ligia were at a bar called The Edison at Disney Springs, enjoying some delicious Absinthe shots when Travis approached them, curious about their drinks. From there, Travis lingered and chatted with them for a bit before returning to his group. Once he walked away, Trenise turned to Ligia and said, "He's cute! Should I keep him?" Ligia agreed that she should, and Trenise later found Travis on the dance floor. At the end of the night (and after Trenise teased Travis for ordering a Bud Light at a speakeasy, which he did because she ordered the most expensive cocktail on the menu!) they exchanged numbers and the rest is history. Except, not really, haha! Because Travis was 24 at the time, Trenise ignored him for a few weeks when he tried to see her again. Enter Ligia to the rescue! She encouraged Trenise to give him a chance despite him being younger since he obviously was very interested in getting to know her. Trenise decided Ligia was right, and then for real this time, the rest was history. We have enjoyed countless magical moments together -- from countless Disney Days and staycations, to a UFC Fight, an NHL playoff game for the Tampa Bay Lightning and several NFL games. From staying up to ungodly hours in Florida to watch USC Football be absolutely trash, to watching the Trojans compete for a Pac-12 Championship in 2022 (they lost, but we aren't going to talk about that!). From exploring Central Florida to Vegas trips and visiting Hawaii, Michigan and nine countries. From corraling several of our friends to get Hamilton tickets in 2018 in Orlando, to seeing it again in September 2022 when Travis proposed. From being there for several of our friends' weddings to having them be a part of our own. We've built a beautiful life together, built on a shared spirit of adventure, fun, and of course, love. And we're so excited to start this next chapter in our lives together, celebrating with you!
