We're getting Married!

We met while working at UAB. At that time, we were new nurses hired to work in the Bone Marrow Transplant ICU (BMT). Our journey started with the two of us being friends and coworkers. We were taking the same new hire classes, working side-by-side saving lives (smiles), subliminally flirting with one another (kidding), and building a lasting relationship. Honestly, we had no idea we would become an item. However, one of our coworkers had this, we're assuming, premonition. She told us on several occasions that we would be together and she even went as far to say that she couldn't wait for us to have babies. We found humor in her idea and her role as, we now know :), match maker. Fast forward a couple months, pieces of the puzzle fell into perfect position and the flames between the two of us were igniting. We spent hours a day with one another, at work and outside of work; we knew that it was inevitable that we would become more than just friends. Our friendship evolved into us dating during the fall of 2012 and we have been building a solid foundation ever since. Together, we bring out each others' best qualities. We are beyond excited to be getting married and; most of all, we are elated to share our lives with one another!

The magical proposal.. Well it all started when Larry was adamant that we go to Atlanta December 10th, 2016 and stay overnight for a "date night". I said ok, being as though it was not that uncommon for us to go to Atlanta for weekend trips before we started traveling. Well if you all can remember back to the winter of 2016, it was warm. Christmas Day, we wore flip flops. This particular weekend however, it was cold that night, and of course we were outside at Atlanta's Botanical Gardens. It started off really cool, interesting, and fun. I love, love Christmas decorations (inherited that from my mother honestly). Then I was over it. Larry was so adamant that we go this place and that place, which I should have known at this point something was up, because he could care less about Christmas decorations. He kept "talking" to his friend Ryan Cooper, and I thought that was kind of odd, but still gave it no thought. So we finally get to this area called The Goddess, and I'm thinking, it is pretty, now can we go. Larry proceeds to get down on one knee, and I was like wait- what?? I was momentarily dazed, but then I came back around after noticing the flashing lights! After I said yes, I met the "paparazzi photographer" Larry hired to secretly snap pictures of our date night and proposal! Here's the kicker- she didn't get a chance to take very many before the proposal because I was speeding through the gardens lol. It will go down as one of the best nights of my life, and I have wonderful memories of it!
