It all started at Orscheln Farm and Home in the summer of 2020. Tre had just started working there, and I had already been there for a few years. According to Tre, the moment I walked through those double doors to start my shift, he knew I was the one. At first, I didn't think much of it, just kept doing my thing. But I started noticing Tre always seemed to be around, following me and my coworkers, quietly tagging along. Then one day while I was in the back counting drawers, he asked if I wanted to grab Sonic after work. That spontaneous little date kicked off something so much more. Our first kiss was on July 3rd, 2020, after a night out at the bars, while we were walking together. Sweet, right? the only thing was... Tre didn't remember it! He had a little too much to drink that night. So about a week later, when we kissed again, Tre said, "I've been waiting to kiss you this whole time." That's when I had to break it to him: "Well... that was actually our second kiss!" HAHA. Then on October 6th, 2020, I had just come home from coaching a volleyball match in Ellis. I went over to Tre's house and headed to his room, and that's when I saw beautiful flowers, candy scattered across the bed, and a handwritten note filled with the sweetest words and a message to meet him out back. I walked outside to find him waiting on the bench, drinks in hand, and that's when he asked me to be his girlfriend. Fast forward a few years, to our annual Pauda family fishing trip in Colorado, a trip full of memories and tradition. That Saturday night, June 7th, 2025, the resort held a live dance with a band playing out on the patio, overlooking the lake. A storm was rollin in, and we caught the edge of it. Winds picked up and a light sprinkle began to fall. The band said they'd stick it out, and that the weather would pass, so the night continued. Before one of the songs started, the lead singer encouraged everyone to get up and dance. Tre and I walked out to the dance floor along with a few others, and as we slow danced, I noticed his hands start to shake. Then he began asking me a few serious questions. As the song ended, he spun me around...and dropped to one knee. I immediately burst into tears - overwhelmed, overjoyed, and thinking finally! Then he pointed to the crowd...and there stood my parents and a few of my friends who had secretly made the trip to surprise me. Tre's family was there too, all surrounding us with love and support. It was one of the most beautiful and emotional moments of my life. Now we're getting ready to say I do, and we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of you!
