Juneau weather in August is some of the warmest weather you'll experience when traveling to the state. The high average is 63 degrees and the low is 50. Juneau is a rainforest! Dressing in layers is recommended. Bring raingear/umbrellas and do your sun dance.
Yes if you have that option. The Ceremony will be taking place at the old Treadwell Gold Mine on Douglas Island, while the reception is back in downtown Juneau on top of Mt. Roberts. Uber is non-existent in Juneau however there are taxi services that will take reservations if called in advance.
There will be 4 cruise ships docked in downtown Juneau carrying roughly 9000 tourists on August 17th. It is a good idea to book accommodations early and make reservations for excursions as soon as possible.
The street lights on the way to downtown will most likely contain eagles drying out their wings. Humpback whales are also common from April - November. We recommend bringing binoculars as you may be able to spot Dall sheep on the hillsides!
