Usually I would keep my family away from my dating prospects until I knew they had the strength to survive. I knew what I had been doing wasn't working so with Trey, I did everything the opposite.... I threw him to the wolves right away. He met my family the second time we hung out. Don't get me wrong I love my family but we can be; loud, ultra competitive and if you lack wit you will not survive. I was certain he would not stick around especially as the night unfolded. Poker (he made it to the winning table), arm wrestling every family member (he won) and ultimate beer pong (he joined in the tackling and shenanigans). I was certain I would never see Trey again. Then I looked at the clock 2am... that is when I knew that he might have what it takes.

We took our colts Huckleberry and Merle for a ride on the property. We rode across the creek and to a high point overlooking the property . The ride took a sparkly twist when Trey got down on one knee and proposed as Merle rested his head on Treys shoulder to check out the bling. The horses must have felt the love and excitement after they heard “yes” because on the ride back home they were naughty. It was the perfect proposal. I finished the ride a hot mess; you know dirt everywhere complete with sticks in my hair. We look forward to many more rides together on Huckleberry and Merle.

You are invited because you are important to both of us. Saying yes to Trey was the easiest question I have ever answered. I can honestly say I have never been happier; Trey is my best friend. We cannot wait to shake it, raise a glass and celebrate with you!
