We Got Married

We met while camping at Castle Rock Lake in 2009. We became instant friends when Jon slammed on the breaks and I almost went through the windshield, but didn’t spill a drop of the booze filled sand pail I was holding. We remained friends while Jon was living in New York, always making a point to get together when he was home visiting. When Jon moved home in late 2014 our friendship became something more and by February 2015 he was helping me close the bar every Wednesday, giving me frozen flowers for Valentine’s Day, and asking my mother’s permission to be my boyfriend. We always talked about getting married in Las Vegas, we imagined having our family and close friends there to witness it but when I randomly found some flights to go for my birthday we figured we might as well make it official. We arrived at 10PM on a Sunday and ended up at The Stained Glass Wedding Chapel where a blonde Edna “E” Mode (The Incredibles) preformed a quick and very awkward ceremony. Our plan to have a celebration with our family and friends in September was ruined by Covid. We would still like to have the memories made and the photographs taken so we have rescheduled our celebration to June 5, 2021. We hope you all can safely attend.
