FAQs

Question

Where do we park?

Answer

There is plenty of free parking right across the street from the venue at Graham Presbyterian Church. Simply follow the sidewalk to E Harden Street and you’ll cross the street to enter The Graham Mill.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding dress code will be formal, also known as "black-tie optional". We kindly encourage our favorite people to join us in their finest attire for our special day. We ask that you wear a tuxedo or dark suit and tie. Alternatively, a floor-length evening gown or midi-length dress would be appropriate.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our evening ceremony and reception will be inside the mill, while the cocktail hour will take place outdoors in the greenhouse and courtyard areas.

Question

Are children allowed?

Answer

Take the night off and leave the little ones at home! We politely request no children under the age of 10 attend the ceremony and reception. Thank you in advance for understanding.

Question

Are plus-ones allowed?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate with everyone on our guest list! Please note that our wedding is invitation only, and we will only be able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Please see the invitation for details on who is invited and if a plus-one is included.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down buffet dinner with a choice of entree. There will be chicken, beef, and vegetarian options available.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. There will also be mocktail options available for folks who do not plan to drink alcohol. We do recommend bringing cash or a credit card along if you plan to participate in some after-partying, as drinks after the reception will not be covered.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

We'd really love to have our ceremony free of any distractions- no flash, ring tones or video sounds. But after that, it's all yours! Feel free to take pictures or videos of whatever you like. And if you post to social media, tag us so we can see all of the fantastic moments you've captured. You can individually tag Brittany and/or Cory, and be sure to include our wedding hashtag, #BatesEverAfter!

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence is gift enough, but if you're feeling generous, you can make a contribution to our honeymoon in NYC. Online honeymoon fund sites often charge you a transaction fee, so we've decided to avoid that option. There will be a table at the wedding for you to drop off any cards or other gifts you may want to bring. If you feel passionately about wanting to make your contribution electronically, reach out to Brittany or Cory and we'll provide you with some options. New York ... New Last Name! Thank you in advance!

Question

I still have questions... who do I ask?

Answer

Feel free to reach out to Brittany or Cory with any other questions you may have about the big day. Can't wait to see you there!
