Sarah and Machaella met at the University of Iowa in 2016 and became sorority sisters through Zeta Tau Alpha. Hitting it off right away, they have been best friends ever since. Having lived together 3 of the 4 years of college, there are many stories that are better left untold. Despite their physical distance, Sarah and Machaella always make time for one another and are closer than ever. Sarah recently obtained her MPA and lives in New York where she works as a Government Relations Manager.
Marcus Knouse
Co-Officiant & Best Man
Marcus and Travis met in kindergarten while playing with a lego snake at St. Paul the Apostle School in Davenport, Iowa. They remained great friends throughout elementary school, high school, college, and into adulthood. They now conveniently live 4 blocks from each other in Milwaukee. Marcus, his wife Sofie, and their two dogs are invaluable to us and we love having them so close. Marcus works as a Global Account Manager. He also has TWO $2,000 PCs.
Bailey Shimp

Bailey and Machaella met in 2016 at the University of Iowa through their sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. Quickly becoming close friends, they lived together in a shared room in the sorority house and for the two years following in an apartment. Bailey now lives in Chicago, a short train ride from Machaella in Milwaukee, and the two love to show each other around their respective cities. Bailey works as a Elementary Curriculum Developer and loves spending time thrifting and with her boyfriend, Dan, and their two cats.
Sean Meyer
Honor Attendant
Sean and Travis met as kids when Sean's mom agreed to babysit Travis during the summer months. As a result, Sean and Travis spent much time together and became great friends despite Travis routinely destroying legos build by Sean and his brother Seth. As revenge, there is the infamous invisible kool-aid prank. To this day, Travis cannot trust when either of them get him a glass of water. The two took up all the same hobbies and did everything together, from learning how to skateboard/snowboard, playing video games while eating concerning amounts of mac 'n cheese and frozen pizzas, then miraculously becoming gym rats. Sean is now married to his wife, Alyssa and they have a son, Beckett.
Nalicia Valdez

Nalicia and Machaella met when they were only 6 years old in elementary school. Despite Nalicia going to the University of Illinois, their friendship never waivered and has continued into adulthood, as the two always made a point to visit one another at their respective schools and hang out at home during the holidays. Nalicia now lives in Chicago and throws fantastic birthday parties that Machaella always attends. Nalicia works as a Grants Management Specialist and enjoys traveling, cumbia, and a good matcha.
Seth Meyer
Honor Attendant
Seth and Travis also met resulting from Travis spending many summers with the Meyers. Seth partook in all hobbies that Sean and Travis got into and even became the two's errand boy and ran to and from the house to bring snacks when the three would play Pokemon in the garage attic. It wasn't until their later teens and early 20's when Seth and Travis became even better friends. The two became personal trainers together, worked out together, and abused that tractor tire behind the Utica Ridge YMCA. The two now find multiple times a year to meet up, run the Annual Bix7, and are both down bad collecting Pokemon Cards. Seth recently married his wife, Kassidee, and they have two wiener dogs with BIG personalities.
