We met at my grandpas house when Travis first got back to the states, so that he could see and meet my family for the first time. I ran into the house because I forgot to grab the keys from my mom after doing a grocery run for my grandpa. I realized I needed help so Travis came to help me and from then on we would see each other at friends and family gatherings like dinner, bonfires, and even one time I drove him to PT at 5 A.M.

When Travis first started to come home we would always talk to each other, till finally it came time for Halloween. On Halloween we both took our chance and were with one another the entire night trying to impress each other and handing out candy bags to everyone who came to the range for our drive thru trick or treat event. The next day, he asked me out to dinner when he gets back the next weekend and I said "Sure Yeah!". Through out the week, we were texting each other and I was so nervous that I asked him if we could go get frozen yogurt the day before we go out to dinner and he said yes and to me it was a pre-date to the date-date. On November 6th, we were talking about all kinds of things like the future and that is when he officially asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend and I said yes.

What I thought had been just normal couple pictures was actually a proposal. I cannot even explain how surprised I was. We were posing for pictures and then all of a sudden the photographer told me to take a few steps forward and then I was told to turn around and all I see is Travis down on one knee and all I'm thinking is "OH NO YOU DIDN'T" but I'm also thinking and I also said yes as soon as I processed what what going on, I was so ecstatic to the point I was crying happy tears. Now I'm happy that I get to marry my best friend!
