Kate proposed to Travis on October 9, 2023 in front of his parents, Donna & Jim, and her mother Kerry. Travis was so surprised!

Kate had visited her parents on their anniversary weekend (September 2) to share her intentions of proposing. They were supportive and excited, and from there, the plans unfolded in less than a month.

All of the beautiful photos from the proposal day were taken by our dear friend Hayden Britton, who was fundamental in the proposal planning process.

October 9th brought unexpected rain, forcing us to change locations at the last minute. Hayden staked out this place just hours before the proposal and inconspicuously hid until the big moment.

We were so grateful to share this moment with family, who have shown us so much love and support throughout our three years of dating.

Kate & her mom Kerry. Donna, Travis's mom, prepared this engagement ring for Kate just weeks before the proposal day. It was Travis's grandmother's ring.

In April, we had our engagement photos done by Kate's former classmate, Alejandra Scott, at Bart's Books in Kate's hometown of Ojai, California.

Alejandra's talent/work speaks for itself, but it was extra meaningful to Kate to work with someone she grew up with. We are lucky enough to have her photographing our wedding and reception as well.

For Kate, it was a full circle moment to celebrate her love in a place she cherishes so much, among family and community. Bart's Books is an Ojai staple.

A photoshoot at Bart's Books can be hard to come by, but thanks to Kate's cousins Greta & Brigit, strings were pulled and wishes came true. Isn't it amazing what family and community does for us?

While this has been an exciting and sometimes overwhelming year, Travis & Kate both feel unwaveringly confident heading into marriage. It was an easy "yes" for both.

Little known fact: the first time Travis and Kate ever spoke, he approached her to ask what book she was reading. It was "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie.

We are so excited to have all of our loved ones together in one place, and we extend our deepest gratitude to those who will be traveling to California to celebrate with us.

We are looking forward to dancing the night away with you on our first day as husband & wife!

As we reflect on our years together and all that we have to be grateful for, we offer our sincerest thanks to all of you who have been a part of our lives and our love story.
