FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our friends and family get dressed up for the day! Dress code is Semi- Formal and we kindly encourage you to wear Fall Colors to coordinate with the wedding. We only invited those very close to us and therefore we plan to take pictures with everyone. Example of some colors: Black, Greens, Tans, Browns, Dark Colors like Terracotta, Burgundy, Aubergine etc…

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are lucky enough to have all we need to start our life together. If you wish to get us a gift, we ask that you contribute to our wishing well. Thank you!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Ceremony starts at 5 pm, however we ask that you 15-20 minutes early. Ushers will start seating at 4:15 pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you sent an rsvp including them already, then yes. If you forgot to add plus one unfortunately we may not be able to accommodate them due to the limited seating at the venue. Please check with Bride or Groom before bringing someone that has not been previously accounted for. Thank you

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

All RSVPs will be due by July 20th

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, however, please include them on your RSVP.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

On the Travel section of our website we have some recommendations. However, any hotel in Smith Mountain Lake, Lynchburg or Roanoke, Virginia will work. Also, there are several houses for rent on the lake for a nice vacation, please book through recommended agents, so they can ensure you are on the right side of the lake in proximity to the wedding.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at the marina and then there is a short walk to the ceremony location

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We will offer rides at the end of the night if you stay local for those under the influence of alcohol.

For all the days along the way
