Just 10 minutes from downtown, this iconic canyon offers dramatic views over turquoise waters and a swinging suspension bridge. Easy trails loop around the area, this is a favourite of ours to ski in the Winter.
A bit more of a drive (about 30 minutes), but this alpine hike area offers spectacular views, wildflowers and is quite easy. The lake is also a beautiful spot to see.
Great if you want to check out some of the local wildlife or anyone wanting to see bison, lynx, moose, and more in a natural setting.

Carcross is a unique destination just a short drive from Little Atlin Lodge. Known for the “world’s smallest desert,” it offers striking sandy landscapes, scenic hiking trails, and a peaceful spot to explore the surrounding wilderness. For an extra adventure, you can hop on the historic White Pass & Yukon Route train, which travels from Carcross to Skagway, Alaska, offering stunning mountain and valley views along the way. It’s a perfect stop for a quick adventure or a full-day excursion
Located about 1 and a half away, Skagway is a historic gold rush town with scenic streets and shops, making it a great spot for a day trip

About an hour from Little Atlin Lodge, Atlin is a charming small town ideal for a quiet escape. Visitors can enjoy fishing, scenic hikes, and kayaking on the lake, which is often compared to “Little Switzerland.” The town also features a number of cute shops, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing day trip.
