Travis and Emily met while attending an OU basketball game in February of 2016. They were previously at many church functions together, but neither noticed each other despite their attracting personalities. While waiting in line for College Game day, Travis was so rudely cut in line by a few girls (one of which being EMILY!) Emily claims she did not want to wait by herself at the end of the line and her friends were determined to get in the very long line with people they knew. Travis and his groomsman Garrett were not very happy to be cut in line so they were a little sassy to the girls. They definitely did not want to have anything to do with those line cutters. Well as fate would have it, a few weeks later Emily and Travis were assigned to the same group for their upcoming mission trip to Nicaragua. Emily had no idea Travis was one of the guys she cut in line but Travis knew for sure she was the line cutter. After a few conversations he realized that she wasn't so bad. He messaged her though groupme asking about some questions relating to the trip and Emily ended up giving him her number. He asked her out for coffee and they hit it off finally recognizing that their personalities were very complimentary. Their friendship continued to grow and after the trip Travis asked her out on a date. It went well and they subsequently went on more and more dates, until Travis proposed 3 years later!
