One of the landmarks in Boca Raton and the primary community gathering place, Mizner Park was designed by architect Addison Mizner and reflects his love of Mediterranean architecture. This centrally located park is home to the Boca Raton Museum of Art, an outdoor amphitheater with frequent entertainment, a luxury iPic movie theater, and a wide variety of high-end department stores, designer boutiques and delicious eateries. Great to visit day or night!
This is one of our favorite places to visit! The Morikami Museum and Gardens is a center for Japanese arts and culture located in Delray Beach. The museum is named after George Morikami, the only member of the Yamato Colony to stay in Delray Beach after World War II. He donated his pineapple farm to be used as this unique museum which beautifully preserves and celebrates Japanese culture. Enjoy the indoor exhibits, Roji-en Gardens, bonsai garden, and the Japanese restaurant which was featured on the Food Network.
Another one of our favorite places to stroll! Situated on 50 acres of previous wastewater utility property, Wakodahatchee is a constructed wetlands that is free to the public. The site features a three-quarter mile boardwalk that crosses between open water pond areas and islands. A part of the South section of the Great Florida Birding Trail, Wakodahatchee is home to an abundance of wildlife as more than 178 bird species have been identified along with turtles, ALLIGATORS, rabbits, fish, frogs and raccooons.
Great happy hour menu and close to the Hyatt!
One our FAVORITE place for happy hour. $6 French 75 and smoked old fashion, who could say no to that. It’s a very foodie place, so be prepared to enjoy whatever you order, HH or not.
