FAQs

If you have any further questions, please feel free to text Alex at (607) 761-2656
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We would love to see the ladies in light colors and/or florals to really embrace the Hawaiian scenery. The ceremony patio and restaurant floor will be level, but we may be walking on uneven sand during beach pictures. Feel free to skip the heels in favor of sandals. For the gentlemen, we don't want anyone to overheat. We welcome everything from linen suits, to dress shirts, to polos.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony is Monday, March 29th at 5:00pm. We set our date as the Monday so that our guests could plan to fly out any time between Friday, March 26th, and Sunday, March 28th. Please account for the time difference, and the jet lag, during your planning/travels.

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. HNL is the primary airport for the island of Oahu. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from HNL to reach Aulani Resort and Spa. Transfers are available through Aulani for an additional fee

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outdoors?

Answer

Yes. Both events will take place outdoors, so please plan for warm temperatures, sunshine, and occasional island breezes.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation. Due to venue capacity, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation.

Question

Do I need a rental car?

Answer

Not necessarily. If you're primarily staying at Aulani and plan on staying on-property throughout your trip, rideshare services may be sufficient. A rental car is highly recommended if you plan to explore the island. Transfers are available through Aulani for an additional fee

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to keep phones and cameras away while the bride and groom are walking down the aisle. Other than that, feel free to snap away.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

Coming all the way to Hawaii to celebrate with us is already the best gift we could receive. Please do not burden your luggage (or ours) with a gift!

Question

How many nights should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying at least 4–6 nights to enjoy the island and make the most of your trip.

Question

Is there a hotel room block?

Answer

Yes, please see the link posted under the "Travel" section of our website. Our room block is at Aulani Resort and Spa.

Question

What if I want to stay somewhere else?

Answer

You're welcome to stay wherever you'd like. We simply recommend accommodations in the Ko Olina area for convenience.

Question

Will alcohol be served?

Answer

Yes, there will be a hosted bar during the reception.

Question

What if I have food allergies?

Answer

Please let us know when you RSVP so we can work with our caterers.
