EWR is the closest major airport to Phoenicia. Its 96 miles away and flying in there versus another NYC airport would save you the hassle of getting through the city. The ticket prices are generally the most cost effective. About a 2 hour drive.

If it works out better for your travel, ALB airport is only 52 mi from Phoenicia. Prices can trend higher but doesn't hurt to check! About a 1 hour 45 minute drive.

We highly recommend having a car up in Phoenicia. Although there are technically Ubers and Lyfts- they aren't always the most reliable.

The Howland House would be a excellent location for a few families to come together at. They have lovely rooms, and have been incredibly kind and insightful to us in the planning process. They also have a nice in-house restaurant.

If you really want to go all out consider staying at The Urban Cowboy Lodge. Equipped with a slew of amenities and nestled into the mountains this is a real experience.

The area is equipped with many nice airbnb's- if you want to get together with a big group this would be a solid direction. Keep in mind they book out well in advance.
