Travis and Mallory met online, while Mallory was attending Culinary School in Los Angeles. Travis was living and working in Pasadena, in the documentary film world. Mallory was the first and only profile Travis matched with! After exchanging messages about likes, dislikes, and hobbies, they found they shared an interest in the outdoors. Travis then gathered his courage and asked: "So asking you to go camping with me seems like too much for a first date, so how about dinner instead?" To which Mallory readily accepted. Their first date was scheduled for December 21st, 2012, the day the Mayan Calendar ended and we all thought the world was going to end! Turns out it was only beginning for Mallory and Travis! They met in Belmont Shores, where Mallory gave Travis a local's tour of her hometown. They bonded over their love of video games, both admitting they have logged hundreds of hours on the popular Elder Scrolls Game, Skyrim. If Travis was an animated character, he would have hearts in his eyes at that moment. And such began a 7 year love story that took them through ups, downs, and not one, or two...but FOUR out of state moves and a bout of long distance dating. On October 4th, 2018, Travis invited Mallory to visit him in California from Oregon to see their favorite band, The Kills at the Hollywood Bowl. Little did she know, Travis was going to recreate their first date and propose on the beach! After saying yes (of course!), she found that Travis had one more surprise... Box Seats at the Hollywood Bowl and Champagne with friends! Needless to say, it was an amazing day. It only took 6 months for Mallory to make her way back to California (and Travis) so they could begin planning the next stage of their lives. They are so excited for you to join them on their next endeavor: their wedding day!
