When it came to having an interest in dating one another Kiara knew from the moment she first evangelized with Travis. She admired his leadership, love for God, servitude and deep love for others. Kiara made sure to keep her interest a secret as she awaited confirmation from God. She told God that if Travis was the one, he’d ask her on a date. Surely enough, Travis asked her on their first date that very week. Travis wrestled with God with self doubt, insecurity, and comparison, and chasing a feeling instead of chasing love. He fought to have a genuine love and getting himself completely out of the way so God could be glorified. He didn’t want to date just to date, but in his decision to ask Kiara to be his girlfriend he also wanted to be sure that he’d be ready to marry her. That’s exactly what happened on March 16th, 2024 when Travis asked Kiara to be his girlfriend. God heard the prayers of one and softened the heart of the other.
