What I thought would be a weekend getaway turned out to be one of the most special moments of my life. It was our second day in Charleston, South Carolina. We had been eating and drinking well while we took in the sights, sounds, and romance of a city that was new to us. We explored, shopped around, and laughed so much our cheeks hurt. Little did I know, Travis had been anxiously hiding a ring for months, waiting for the perfect time to pop the question. We started the day off adventuring through the city - stopping by a local coffee shop, having breakfast at Callie's Hot Little Biscuit, shopping the Charleston City Market and touring historical areas. Travis scheduled a private horse-drawn carriage tour through the city, where our personal guide taught us about the incredible history and stunning architecture. The day was already perfect. Despite Travis' obvious nervous behavior, I was absolutely clueless as to what was in store for my afternoon. After a quick 'break' back at the hotel room, we hopped on rented bicycles and started our next adventure. We rode through Battery Park and Rainbow Row, which are a must when visiting Charleston! We ended up in Waterfront Park, by the Pineapple Fountain. Travis asked me to stand in front of the fountain while he set up his Go-Pro for a 'wide-angle shot'. I was under the impression that we were taking a still photo, but Travis was actually videotaping the whole time. I stood there, still clueless, taking in everything happening around us. The next thing I knew, Travis turned around and dropped to one knee! Of course, I SAID YES! - XO - Erin
