Our Story

How did Travery begin you ask? Well to set the stage, it was Labor Day weekend, 2017 - the hottest weekend on record in San Francisco, 106 degrees to be exact. SF isn’t known for providing A/C anywhere - so Trey and a few of his future groomsmen decided to stop by the local country bar, Jaxson, which had a massive fan in the back along with a few open windows. Avery and her future bridesmaids, along with many other Cal Poly’ans, also decided that Jaxson was the place to be on that day – and, conveniently, Travery’s future officiant, Kyle McGee, was there to provide a warm, record breaking introduction between Trey and Avery. Travery debates the official beginning of the relationship, but half of Travery argues that it was Spring 2018, after date nights at Trattoria Contadina, Howell’s, and a weekend trip to the Abramo family compound in Palo Alto Hills. Fast forward 3.5 years to December 2021: after many visits to Mammoth and Havasu with family, vacations to Mexico and Hawaii, witnessing many of their friends’ weddings across the country (while Trey took notes), the births of the flower girl and ring bearer, and Avery tolerating Trey in their first apartment together in the Marina - there was one, important, thing left to do to wrap up a great run in SF before moving down south to Manhattan Beach...make this thing official! With Jim, Diana, and Paige in attendance, Trey got down on one knee on their SF apartment rooftop, and, against all odds, Avery said yes! TRAVERY FOREVER <3
