We went to related Catholic High Schools in Sacramento but had never met. It wasn't until years later, when we were both living in San Francisco, that we started talking through a dating app. We soon discovered that we shared the same hometown and had probably brushed shoulders at many of the same Jesuit and Loretto High School dances/football games. We hit it off right away and the rest is history....

Matt enlisted Allison's Maid of Honor to help him with a surprise proposal. On the 4th of July, Matt arranged a hike through Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley CA. When they got to the top of Wildcat Peak, he got down on one knee and proposed. Allison was so surprised. She said yes while the cell phone video captured it all!

Matt and Allison plan to eventually move out of San Francisco and buy their first house together in the East Bay, which will reduce Matt's commute and give him more time at home. They hope to have children soon and give both of their parents their first and much-anticipated grandchildren.
