Many people don't realize that Trevor and Kara went to High School together. Trevor left a big impression on Kara because he was devastatingly funny, and weird in a very specific way that Kara would find charming. Kara left a lasting impression on Trevor because she understood him in a way no one had before. They had a hapy friendship. Trevor bought cookies from Kara to help fund-raise a missions trip to Spain. Kara proposed marriage to Trevor multiple times via ring-pop, twist tie, and whatever else she could find. Eventually Trevor moved away, and they lost touch for years.

The pair reconnected over a meme about three years ago. The friendship was restored, and after a year they realized they were in love. After quitting his job to move to Kentucky, adopting the world's worst cat together, and writing a cookbook, Trevor knew this was everything he never knew he always wanted. Without any doubt, and less than 24 hours with the ring, he went to a place that Kara and Trevor hold dear; Breckinridge Elementary. Trevor expressed his love, his devotion, and his intentions when he got down on one knee and asked Kara to start their lives together.
