There's a wealth of stunning state parks in town: Buttermilk, Treman, and Taughannock. See the famous waterfalls and gorges that give Ithaca it's cheesy slogan "Ithaca is Gorges."

The Commons has a wealth of restaurants, shops, and a man offering magic tricks. Highlights: Mockingbird Paperie, Petrune Vintage, Angry Mom Records, and Cellar d’Or Wine & Cider Shop. We tried to have the wedding fall on Apple Fest.
Cinemapolis
The local arthouse movie theatre where we went on several dates - - they have the best popcorn.

Lucas Vineyards
You're in wine country! There are a bunch of wineries around, but I have fond memories of visitng Lucas Vineyards. In this cool region, we're know for Riesling, but also Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc.
Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art
For those looking to see some finer things, visit the local Ivy League for their art collection. The building has always reminded us of an AT-AT from Star Wars.
Purity Ice Cream
An Ithaca staple with a lovely brunch and great ice cream. Joey's a vanilla fan and Megan loves their Chai Milkshake.
Moosewood
We're lucky enough to have one of the most influential contemporary restaurants in town. Moosewood pioneered vegetarian cooking in a time where plant based meals were scarce in pop culture.
Maxie's Supper Club & Oyster Bar
Enjoy this pleasantly aesthetic seafood restaurant that brings the warmth of New Orleans to snowy Ithaca.

The Roundhouse became a staple of Megan's friend group, fueling late night studying and socialization.

Hear us out: we spent many date nights at Diamond's, and while it's questionably authentic, it's super delicious nonetheless.
