We kindly ask for everyone to dress modestly for our wedding to preserve the sanctity of the Mass. For suggestions/ideas: https://pin.it/2o7uJMX7f
“In the celebration of the Eucharist, bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit and the instrumentality of the priest. The whole Christ is truly present -- body, blood, soul, and divinity -- under the appearances of bread and wine, the glorified Christ who rose from the dead. This is what the Church means when she speaks of the "Real Presence" of Christ in the Eucharist.” - USCCB For more details, check out the following link: https://tinyurl.com/WhatIsEucharist
Only baptized Catholics who have received their first communion, are practicing the faith, and are not aware of having committed mortal (serious) sins since their last confession may receive the Eucharist. If you are not going to receive the Eucharist but would like to receive a blessing, you are welcome to cross your arms over your chest (like a mummy) to signal to the priest to bless you instead.
