Tati and I (Tracy) met at church, though the first time we ever introduced ourselves was actually at a basketball tournament. This was the first time I (Tati) got to officially introduce myself to my now fiancé. Prior to this, I knew who he was because his sister was my best friend and I’d seen him the lead worship songs on Sundays at church. At the basketball game ,however, he walked up to my smile as sweet and polite as he is and said hello. Immediately I knew he was a gentleman and I admired how patient he was with me and made sure I fully understood how to work my position at the basketball game. On the other hand, one of the first moments I (Tracy) remember of us was having an intense conversation while at an event over points between her team and mine! Her competitive nature and resilience was something that motivated me! Overall my team won though!

That definitely peaked my interest. I saw how even when it was a difficult time for him, he fully relied on God to help him through it and his heart was still focused on helping those around him. I knew that no matter what happened in his life, his love/fear of God was stronger and that would be his first priority and it inspired me to do the same” Even through a break up for a year and a half, as the couple focused on their personal relationships with God, they still had aspirations to do ministry together, lead together, be together , and ultimately have a long life in the faith together. They prayed daily for one another until it was God’s plan for them to fully reconcile their relationship and be together again. They showed everyone around them that putting God first was truly the way to building a strong foundation in a godly relationship.
