Tracy and Lucas first met on a night that was never meant to be anything more than a farewell celebration in Pasadena, but it quickly became something unforgettable. Tracy had been out in Downtown Pasadena with her friends, celebrating one last evening together before her close college friend Sam moved away. Wanting to make the most of the night, the group decided to keep the celebration going and headed to a lively club filled with music, energy, and different floors to explore. At one point, the group split up. While searching for her friends downstairs, Tracy was approached by Lucas, a charming Brasilian who asked her to dance. She politely declined. A few minutes later, still unable to find her group, he approached her again, this time asking if she had found them. When she said no, he smiled and asked her to dance once more. This time, she said yes. Just moments later, Tracy’s friends called to say they were outside and ready to leave. Before going their separate ways, Tracy and Lucas quickly exchanged Instagram handles. At the time, Tracy assumed he was just passing through California and thought that would be the end of their story because of how much Lucas was traveling. But God had other plans for the both of them. Lucas reached out shortly after to check in, no response. A couple of months later, he followed up again with a message he now jokingly calls “following up on his leads”: “I said, how are you doing?” This time, Tracy replied.
