They met on Steve Harvey's dating website "Delightful.com". Their first date was at Arizona's restaurant for dinner. When Kia first saw Tracy she froze in her tracks and her feet grew cold. She experienced the runner syndrome. When Ronnie first saw Kia he was interested in having a casual date enjoying the evening with her to see how things would go. They shared a pleasant dinner together with laughter and true stories. Kia was seeking companionship but, Tracy became her confidant and friend. As the two met each other's families the theme was consistent, "He's a keeper!" "She's a keeper!" They couldn't deny that not only did they find goodness and love in each other in their own minds but, so did their loved ones. They felt safe with one another, they comforted one another, they defended one another, they loved one another. Now, they join their hearts with family and friends. #we’rebettertogether

Kia takes an annual beach trip with her girlfriends every Labor Day weekend. However, Labor Day 2019 didn’t go as planned. Hurricane Dorian was shutting down her plans and opening Tracy’s opportunity. Family and friends had already planned to be over for football, food and fellowship. Kias’s daughter was evacuated from Daytona Beach so she was home too. A perfect recipe for the proposal. Tracy went for a run to pick up the catered food. He took his uncles and cousins while the remaining guests stayed at the house waiting. Everybody grew hungry. It seemed that Tracy and the guys were gone forever! Finally, he returned, gets fussed out and the day continues. The family eats and socialize. Then, Tracy made his move. He began his announcements of thank yous and appreciations. Before the family knew it he was on one knee pulling a little box out of his pocket. He asked Kia then and there to be his wife. She tenderly said yes as her Aunts wiped her tears and her daughter captured the moment on video. He then explained why it took him so long to return. He decided to go get the ring as well as the food. Thats Tracy! A seizing the moment man!
