We first met at a trivia night...we lost at trivia. 
 A few months later, we had our true "meet cute" during the first day of the new school year at Suncrest Elementary. In the faculty lounge, Denni took Reddi Wip out of the fridge to squirt straight in her mouth.
 At that moment, I (Tracy) knew that we would easily become good friends. 
The connection was undeniable immediately. We grew as friends very quickly. One of us was thinking this is the quickest and closest I've ever made a best friend and the other was thinking this girl is into me and doesn't know it yet. 
As you can guess, at 31, I was the clueless one. Then, after a late night of watching season 2 of Stranger Things, I realized "I am into her and I can't believe I didn't know it". 
Our bond as friends grew and so did our feelings for each other. During a trip to Virginia Beach for the 4th of July, we both realized that there was no reason to deny it- we are good together and we make each other incredibly happy. As it turns out, no one around us was fooled and knew the entire time that we were attracted to each other.
 
After nearly two years of dating, renting/fixing up a house, and raising 4 animals together, Denni organized a cookout for our friends and family on July 12th, 2020. It was the perfect set up. COVID-19 had separated all of us and we had the excuse to get everyone together and still be socially distant with a cookout. It was planned out down to the very song that would play when the proposal happened. 
We posed for a picture with both families allowing enough distance between each household to be considered "safe". I had no idea that this was a plan to allow our families to be in the pictures of our engagement while still putting us up front slightly/separated for Denni to drop down on one knee. Again, I eagerly accepted as soon as I realized what was happening! I was surprised and overjoyed!
 Meanwhile, I had been planning for weeks to propose to Denni and thought I would beat her to it. 
So then the pressure was on. On Denni’s 30th birthday, I went all out. I spent weeks making 30 cards with details of different reasons why I love her. Naturally they were Schitts Creek themed cards. The 31st card was a picture of Moira in her Pope style outfit from the last season. It said “congrats to you and your bebe” on the front. On the inside, I wrote out my proposal. Once she finished reading it, I was ready with the ring (that I had designed myself thank you very much) to ask her the big question. On my birthday, she asked me to be her girlfriend. It seemed only fitting that on her birthday I asked her to be my wife.
 Now we are so excited to have all of you be part of our special day. We can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together!
