Olbrich Botanical Gardens

Dane County Farmers' Market
Saturday morning only. This market is the largest producers only farmers market in the country. Our personal favorites: Stella's spicy cheese bread, Capri Cheese feta, anything from Rolling Pin Bakeshop. Don't forget to try some cheese curds! Go early for less crowds and more selection.
Young Blood Beer Company - Northstreet
One of Madison's best breweries (and Tracy's favorite sours). Visit the King Street location by the Capitol if you're spending the day downtown.
Memorial Union
Right on Lake Mendota with colorful sunburst chairs, live music, cold beer, and sunset views. Don’t leave without a scoop of Babcock ice cream! We recommend the Orange Chocolate Chip.
Wisconsin State Capitol
Open to the public! Make your way to the top for some great views of the city and lakes.
Pheasant Branch Conservancy
Lots of great easy hiking trails here! The corridor is paved and wanders next to the creek (Tracy's favorite), while the northern part of the park takes you by effigy mounds and natural springs.
Henry Vilas Zoo
Free entry! Zoo is small enough to complete in a couple of hours. Don't miss the red pandas in the Children's section of the zoo!
