In 2024, Tracy committed to a summer of swiping (on the dating apps) with the hopes of finding someone worthwhile. After meeting a few duds, she was beginning to tire of the whole process. Meanwhile, Amado had just begun to dip his toe into the online dating world. He was looking for friendship and maybe a few fun dates, but not expecting more. Date 1: Full of laughter, smiles, and stories. It ended with the promise of a next date. Date 2: An hours-long adventure - dolphins, dinner, dessert, and the excitement of something new. Date 3: Amado brought flowers (the big bouquet!). Tracy made Amado's favorite dessert (strawberry pie). They both knew that this was the beginning of something good. Then, Tracy left for 3 weeks to travel to Europe with her family and spend Christmas at home. With too much free time on his hands, Amado adopted a dog. The next months were full of learning and unlearning. Finding joy in each other's stories. Wading into past hurts. Late nights and long conversations. Asking for grace. Taking off on new adventures together. Through it all, we held to the goal of building a strong foundation for the future. A partnership that would endure. On December 24, 2025, Amado surprised Tracy with a beautiful proposal (and a very nice ring). We can't wait to celebrate with family and friends as we take this next step as a couple.
