By God’s grace and in His perfect timing, our hearts found one another.

It felt like life had finally turned a corner. A promotion, a new position, a sense that things were beginning to fall into place. What I didn’t realize at the time was that what felt like a personal victory was only the beginning of something far greater—something God had already written long before I ever stepped into that moment. Because not long after, I met her. It didn’t start with words, but with a glance—one of those moments where time slows down just enough for you to feel something different. A simple scan of the room turned into a gaze, and somehow that gaze felt deeper than it should have. Right then, I knew… this woman was what the young kids call “pressure.” But I had to keep my distance due to being professional in the workplace. So I did. Months passed. I focused on my work, my growth, and my faith—trusting that if something was meant to be, God would make a way. In that time, I gained clarity, patience, and a new perspective on what I truly wanted in life. And by the end of 2024, I realized something: I couldn’t just keep wondering. I needed to know her heart. So I took a chance. It started with a simple conversation about social media—funny enough, I didn’t even have any. But somehow, that turned into the perfect opening. I told her if she was really curious why, she could put her number in my phone, and I’d tell her all about it. And being the intelligent woman she is… she did exactly that. From that moment on, everything changed. What followed was nothing short of a blessing—a gift straight from God. She brought peace where there was uncertainty, strength where there was doubt, and love in a way I had never known before. The more I got to know her heart, the more I realized she was someone I would never take lightly. She deserved everything—and I meant that. So in 2026, I asked her to spend forever with me at a place that meant everything to us. A place that reminded me of where I started—when I had nothing but a man bun and a smile that might make you look twice. She saw something in me before I fully saw it in myself. She believed in me, understood me, and stood beside me. And I knew in that moment, I would do everything in my power to give her the love—and the life—she deserves. Because when God writes your story, His timing is perfect, His plans are greater than anything we could imagine, and together, with Him at the center, forever is only the beginning.

At the time, I had been at this company for 12yrs and had a strict rule “don’t date anyone I work with”. But in year 12 I saw a guy that made me eat my words. Walked into the office one morning and seen a guy I hadn’t ever seen before and immediately start wondering who he was. It was the man-bun for sure hahahaha and how he walked around with that subtle confidence and that smile. Caught myself staring at him quite a few times, but then quickly remembered my rule. But then I kept catching him staring at me at times. So I spoke to break the tension. But then quickly be on my way lol Until one day he saw me smiling at my phone and asked me what have me smiling all big and my head in the clouds azz said “You” then he smiled and kept walking. I don’t know why I said that. But when he circled back I got myself together and told him I was looking at social media. I asked him does he have social media and he said no. That intrigued me. He then proceeded to tell me to take his number and he’d tell me why he doesn’t. And the rest was history. I tried to resist this man but with every conversation I realized he was the man I had been praying to God for. God fearing, family oriented, a gentleman, kind, funny, loving, patient, good with his finances, likes to travel, not easily angered, tall, fit, handsome and no kids lol So when he asked me to marry him at our favorite restaurant, Evelyn’s, with the ring of my dreams, it was an immediate YES! And that’s when my forever begun.
