We're Getting Married!

Every good story starts with ice cream! After meeting through an online dating app, we decided to meet for the first time in person. Over scoops of Graeter's Ice Cream, we talked about our friends, our families, and Drew's love of sports. From there, the rest is history.

As animal lovers, we make trips to the zoo throughout the year. So when Drew suggested a zoo visit in late June 2020, Tracie didn't think anything of it. As we got dressed that Sunday morning, Tracie could feel something in the air but couldn't quite identify it. Her best friend Kristin decided to tag along to the zoo, which raised Tracie's suspicions more. But a day with your best friend is always a good day. Once at the zoo, Drew surprised Tracie with a giraffe feeding, something personal since Drew has long loved giraffes. As we waited in line with Kristin, the nerves began to increase. But soon enough, we were feeding the giraffe lettuce, and when Tracie turned around there was a beautiful banner saying "Will you marry me?" and Drew was down on one knee. Spoiler alert: Tracie said yes! Drew's best friend Christian along with his girlfriend Sarah joined the party and managed to sneak pictures of the engagement (in addition to Kristin). Overall, the day was perfect and marked the start of our journey to I Do.
