Things To Do

Stop 2 Beach

209 Louisiana Ave, Michigan City, Indiana 46360

Our Favorite Beach! It’s free but requires a 10 minute walk and parking can take some effort. Best place to park is in front of the condo complex at 333 Lake Shore Drive on Lake Avenue. Look for no parking signs and follow them. The further away down Lake Avenue you go the easier the parking. Alcohol is permitted at the beach so feel free to bring a cooler. If you want to take a cruise or bike ride down Lake Shore Drive that’s a great idea but you will not find parking. What you will find is over 50 beach stops and some great views of the lake and some very charming homes. The beaches are all public.

Washington Park Beach & Sunset Grille

6 On the Lake, Michigan City, IN 46360, Michigan City, IN 46360

If you want more seclusion you can follow the road to the right after you enter the main gate and go past the senior center. Use google maps look for "Fedder's Alley Playground". From there it's about a 5 min walk over a sand dune.
