We're so excited to share this special day with you virtually!

We met in 2017 during an immersive field quarter where we were each representatives of our respective schools (Traci from UC Davis and Drew from UC Santa Cruz). We immediately gravitated towards each other quickly realizing we were the same age, and by far the oldest students there (by about 5 years...!) As we travelled throughout California conducting ecological research, we spent as much time learning about our state's natural resources as we did each other! We slipped into a strong friendship almost immediately as we discovered our mutual interests. We made each other laugh, supported each other, and talked incessantly. This connection carried us through a long distance relationship as Traci finished up her degree and was able to join Drew in Santa Cruz, where we have resided (almost) ever since!
