On a Monday night in February 2020, Rob and Tracey met for their first date at Big Bowl. They didn't want the night to end, so they went out for drinks after dinner. They quickly realized that they both went to Lake Zurich High School, knew some of the same people and shared some of the same experiences, which made the conversation easy and comfortable. Rob moved in with Tracey shortly after that. About 5 years later, Rob proposed to Tracey on her birthday (New Year's Eve). They went out to dinner with friends at a restaurant in downtown Naperville that Tracey had been wanting to go to. After dinner, Tracey was very shocked to find a surprise party had been planned back at the house, and she was even more surprised when Rob proposed later that night.
