Brandon and Jordyn’s relationship has been years in the making—just waiting for the right timing (and maybe a little help from fate… or Vegas). They’ve actually known of each other for quite a while..a bit over 10 years to be exact! Their fathers work together, so they grew up as friends by association—always in the same circles but never quite crossing paths at the right time. They went to different high schools, different colleges in different states, and dated other people, completely unaware that their real love story was still waiting to begin in their early 20's. Then, one weekend in Vegas changed everything. For her 21st birthday, Jordyn, and her best friend and Maid of Honor, Alicia, had plans for a quick but eventful Las Vegas trip. By total coincidence, Brandon happened to be there at the exact same time. The day before Jordyn and Alicia were set to leave for Vegas, Brandon had messaged Jordyn a picture of himself in front of the Paris Hotel Eiffel Tower. After finding out that Jordyn had plans to travel to Vegas the following day, he invited her to his table at a club. What Brandon didn't know was that Jordyn already had tickets to that exact club on the same night with her friend Alicia. The timing was so strange it almost seemed planned (which Brandon and Jordyn have already interrogated their fathers about), but really, it was just fate laying the groundwork. Jordyn and Alicia ended up meeting Brandon and his group at the club, and their future together blossomed from there. Not long after that spontaneous night, they went on their first official date: an afternoon at Table Rock Beach followed by dinner at The Cliff Restaurant in Laguna Beach, CA. Between the ocean breeze, the easy laughter, and that instant connection, something just clicked. Now, every year on their anniversary of July 6th, they've gone back to The Cliff for dinner as a tradition to celebrate the night that turned an unknowing connection into a forever kind of love.

To start, Brandon had originally told Jordyn that he would propose a couple of months after they had moved in together, making it seem to Jordyn that a proposal would not happen until at least the summer of 2026. In short, she had no idea that this was coming anytime soon (judging from her brown polka dot nails in their proposal photos)! Thursday, September 25th, 2025 started off as a fun date day for Brandon and Jordyn. Brandon had planned surprise date days for Jordyn before, so this one felt just like any other — casual and inconspicuous. They started their day with breakfast at The Beachcomber in Crystal Cove and then went to The Fragrance Boutique in Laguna Beach, where they made their own cologne and perfume. Brandon had told Jordyn that after this, he was going to take her to a nice dinner. He said it was important to dress up nice and that where they were going for dinner was a surprise. The perfume appointment ended roughly 30 minutes earlier than Brandon had planned, so Brandon messaged the photographer to see if she had arrived. She had just gotten there and said she just needed to make sure the spot was clear of people and would let him know when to head over. Brandon and Jordyn headed back to the truck so Jordyn could charge her phone since it was nearly dead (and was a good excuse to stall), and that’s when the photographer notified Brandon that another proposal was being set up in the same spot. The couple there told the photographer they would be gone in 20 minutes if Brandon could stall long enough. Just after that, while Brandon and Jordyn were sitting in his car, someone hit his truck — luckily, there was no damage! While all of this chaos was happening, Jordyn had no idea what was coming. She reached into the center console and jokingly asked Brandon, “Is this where my ring is?” — completely unaware that the real ring was about to appear. Brandon, on the other hand, was a bundle of nerves. He was trying to act calm while internally racing through every possible thing that could go wrong — the timing, the other couple, the truck incident, and making sure everything was perfect. Shortly after his truck being hit, their photographer had notified Brandon that the proposal that had happened was finished and to hurry over. So when they headed over to their first date spot — the overlook next to The Cliff Restaurant — Jordyn still thought they were just walking to dinner, completely unsuspecting. That’s when Brandon got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Completely in shock and at first thinking it was a joke, she eventually realized that this was indeed not and she of course said yes! To finish off the perfect day, Brandon surprised Jordyn with an actual dinner in Newport Beach with her parents and his family, celebrating together and sharing in the joy of their engagement.
