Jeremy and Tracey first met in the fall of 2013 through mutual friends at Mountain Creek in New Jersey, where they both often went to mountain bike. Tracey was then living in New York City and Jeremy was living in upstate NY. Over the next few biking seasons, they ran into each other at various riding spots but during that time they both became involved in other relationships. It wasn’t until summer of 2015, that the timing was right for both of them and on June 13th Jeremy drove to meet Tracey at her place near the city for a bike ride and dinner for their first date.

On June 13, 2021, Tracey unwrapped her anniversary gift and opened it up to find some raw carrots in the box. As she was not expecting to get engaged, Jeremy’s humor went right over her head, and she confusingly asked Jeremy why he was giving her carrots. That’s when Jeremy came back in the room with the real “carats” and asked her to marry him.
