Wedding Party

Emily Melasecca

Maid of Honor

The first time I met Kelly, I immediately noticed how her beautiful icy blue eyes complemented her dark hair. I also saw Kelly was pretty…older than me, KELLY DON’T KILL ME! But seriously, I had no idea that she was an answered prayer. I didn’t believe her when she said we’d be friends. It was never quiet around her. She felt the need to fill the air with conversation. Her favorite topic, Kendall. Our first time sitting down with each other, she showed me a picture of Kendall with his bike. My first comment was, “He gives off Luke Comb vibes.” Kelly went on to say, “he’s fine, isn’t he?” And so on and so forth. My first trip to Nashville was with Kelly, and that’s when I met Kendall. Kelly and I were walking to meet him, at Kellys first sight of him, she ran across the street. Kendall wrapped her with a bear hug, as they walked back together to meet me, Kelly was still in his arms. Kendall and Kelly still share that same love. From there, Kelly and I shared together even more adventure, hours of long phone calls, laughter and tears. But in the end Kelly was wrong, we didn’t become friends. The Lord gave me a best friend, a companion. So, when I asked the Lord for a friend a little more than 3 years ago, I didn’t expect it to be someone the opposite of me. She has pushed me to be more outgoing and adventurous than I would have ever been. Kelly, I love you and I am excited to see you and Kendall start this new chapter of life.

Chloe Townsend

Bridesmaid

Kelly first met Chloe when she was twelve years old, introduced simply as “Japhet’s friend.” Little did she know, Chloe would become so much more—a beloved sister and a cherished friend. From the beginning, Chloe brought light and love into the Townsend family. She’s always been a wonderful big sister—kind, patient, and full of wisdom. Chloe and Kelly would have Bath & Body Works shopping trips and Once Upon a Time dates, which became treasured traditions, little rituals that deepened their bond. Chloe taught Kelly how to knit, how to be a big sister, and most importantly, Chloe showed Kelly the beauty of Jesus’ grace. Chloe's faith, her gentleness, and her strength have shaped Kelly in ways she'll carry forever. Chloe is a devoted wife to Kelly's oldest brother, Japhet, and a phenomenal mother to Elianna, Nathanael, and Felicity. Watching Chloe love and lead her family with such grace is a gift to all of us. Chloe, you are such a blessing. Thank you for being part of our lives, and for being the sister I didn’t know I needed but now can’t imagine life without.

Elianna & Felicity Townsend

Flower Girl

Elianna and Felicity—daughters of Japhet and Chloe Townsend, Kelly’s oldest brother—are two of the brightest lights in Kelly’s world. From giggles to glitter, these girls have filled Aunt Kelly’s life with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Ellie is always up for a girls’ night—sleepovers, pedicures, and all the sparkle they can find. She’s the perfect partner-in-fun, and their bond is something truly special. Felicity, on the other hand, plays hard-to-get. She keeps Auntie on her toes, but when she’s ready, she runs into Kelly’s arms with all the love in the world. That moment—when Felicity chooses closeness—is pure magic. These girls aren’t just nieces. They’re soul-sisters-in-miniature, best friends in the making, and living proof of God’s sweetest gifts.

Anna & Abby Townsend

Flower Girl

Anna and Abby—daughters of Josh and Cristina Townsend, Kelly’s second older brother—are two of the brightest lights in Aunt Kelly’s world. Their laughter, curiosity, and love bring endless joy and warmth to her heart. Anna is a wonder-seeker. Whether it’s a new game, a funny story, or a tiny treasure, Aunt Kelly loves watching her discover the world with wide eyes and endless excitement. Every moment with Anna is an adventure. Abby, on the other hand, is a marshmallow of love and joy. She’s soft, sweet, and full of giggles. She adores following her big sister around and melts into laughter with Aunt Kelly, creating moments that feel like sunshine. These girls aren’t just nieces—they’re soul-sparkles, heart-huggers, and living proof that family is one of God’s greatest gifts.

Ellery Tholken

Flower Girl

Ellery holds a very special place in Kendall’s heart—he lovingly calls her “his girl.” And it’s easy to see why. With her twirly dresses, her new dolls, and her endless excitement to share what she’s doing, Ellery brings a light that’s impossible to miss. She delights in showing both Kendall and Kelly her world, one sweet moment at a time. Whether she’s spinning in a new outfit or giggling through a story, she radiates joy and wonder. Ellery is more than just adorable—she’s a sparkle of joy, a bundle of sunshine, and a precious reminder of the beauty in life’s little things. It wouldn’t feel right to have this wedding without her in it. Her presence is more than meaningful—it’s essential. She’s family, woven into the fabric of Kendall’s life and this celebration.

Nathanael & Edward

Ring Bearer

Nathanael Townsend, son of Japhet and Chloe, holds a truly special place in Aunt Kelly’s heart. Oh goodness—where do we begin? He gives the best hugs, the kind that wrap around your soul, and he’s bursting with energy and wonder that lights up every room. From the start, Aunt Kelly has always told him, “You’re my boy.” And now, in the sweetest twist, when Mommy asks if he’s her boy, Nathanael proudly replies, “I’m Aunt Kelly’s boy!”—a quote that melts hearts and brings laughter every time. Nathanael is more than just a nephew. He’s a bundle of joy, a whirlwind of curiosity, and a living reminder of the beautiful bond between aunt and nephew. Edward Tholken holds a very special place in Kendall’s heart. Kendall has known Edward since he was just a little boy, and their bond has only grown stronger over the years. Whether it’s working on a project or sharing a laugh, Edward is always right there, eager to help, ready to be part of whatever Kendall and his dad are building. It wouldn’t feel right to have this wedding without Edward in it. His presence is more than meaningful—it’s essential. He’s not just a helper or a participant; he’s family, woven into the fabric of Kendall’s life and this celebration.

Ross

Groomsman

I’ve known Kendall for about ten years, ever since he ran around Bryan College with the energy of a golden retriever on espresso. His mom, Dr. Scruggs, was my professor, so he was always nearby—and once I got to know him, I learned he wasn’t going anywhere. Looking back, I’m genuinely grateful he didn’t. Anyone who’s spent five minutes with Kendall knows he’s caring, sometimes super intentional and other times aloof, and extremely loyal in a way most people only talk about. I’ve seen him in both his best and worst moments, and through all of it, he’s been the kind of friend who sticks closer than a brother (I only have sisters so I’m assuming here). We stayed connected over the years, but everything changed when I traded my ’75 Corvette for a Harley Dyna. Kendall was riding a Honda back then, and the moment he heard my Harley, he got jealous fast. Out of kindness, I let him keep it for a bit—which was a mistake—because he immediately got obsessed and bought his own Harley that was nicer and faster than mine. Naturally, I upgraded to the same bike. Since then, we’ve been riding, hanging out, and talking about everything under the sun. We’ve talked through the ups and downs of relationships, but he keeps coming back to how much he has learned with Kelly and how much she has helped him grow. Kendall’s been a blessing in my life, and I’m grateful for every adventure behind us and every one ahead. I’m praying for Kendall and Kelly, and I hope you will too.

Josh Erhart

Best Man

Hey! My name is Josh, and Kendall and I have been friends for the last year and a half. We met serving together at Calvary Chapel Northside Youth Group! The first night we met, we stayed after and talked for almost 2 hours! We connected right off the bat, and we have been super close friends ever since. We have bonded over our love for serving the Lord, and working with youth! We have also bonded over deep spiritual conversation, and crazy random conversations that our ADHD brings us to. We will talk on the phone for hours as we both travel for work and need people to talk to! We have become best friends and I’m excited to see his future with Kelly! I’m honored to be standing by his side on his big day!
