Ian and Tiffany's technical first official date was going to see the top notch flick "Blind Side" and then later going out for burgers. They were in High School and on a budget, however that's not necessarily when their relationship began. The first time they really hung out is a better story and representation of their relationship. The first time they hung out wasn't necessarily intentional. They were in the same English class senior year and got together is a 3 person group for a project. They were all planning to meet at Tiffany's house to get started on their assignment and watch a movie afterword but, their third one group member ending up bailing opening up the opportunity for Ian and Tiffany to spend time together. They decided to be responsible and worked on our English project for a bit and then decided they were bored and deserved a break so they popped in the movie. The movie was the great American classic, "Hot Rod" (if you have not seen it, stop reading this right now and watch it). As most do, we both loved the movie and the night was full of laughs.
Leading up to the week of Ian's birthday Ian got me flowers first Monday, then Tuesday, then Wednesday and Thursday. By the middle of the week Tiffany was suspicious thought something may have been up, thinking 'okay so if he gets me flowers all week he's definitely proposing.' So Friday rolled around, Tiffany rushed home after work expecting a bouquet of flowers, NOPE no flowers, so she figured 'okay he was just trying to be sweet since I was having a rough work week. No big deal.' For Ian's birthday they had plans with all of their friends doing a bottomless brunch. In anticipation of them having to leave Duke home alone all day they knew they needed to take him on a LONG walk to wear him down so he doesn't disturb our neighbors. Everyone was meeting at their home early in the morning that Saturday so they decided to take him on a walk down the 606 Chicago Trail Friday night. They got tacos from their favorite Asian Fusion taco joint and proceeded to explore this path. It starts getting super late and Tiffany is starting to feel rushed so she starts power walking towards their car because they have so much to do before having guests over in the morning. She starts rushing I'm ahead of Ian and can feel him dragging behind with the dog. Tiffany was getting so frustrated and inpatient at this point, as she turns around to scold Ian for dawdling, he was on one knee asking her to marry him.
