Standing here today, I am not only thinking of all we have been through together over the last 3,880 days - or in other terms- 10 years, 7 months, and 16 days - and all there is to come.  Being with you is always an adventure, even if I get nervous, want to plan (at least the big stuff) you say that it’s all going to work out. Being here today, proves that it EVENTUALLY does work out. For those that have never traveled with Seth before, for context, we went to California with 1-way tickets until midnight the night before I was expecting to leave because Seth was convinced, he was going to find a truck on Craigslist and drive back across the country – that didn’t happen. Also, when in Europe, we bought tickets to Venice 4 hours before take-off. Traveling with you and life with you is an adventure. Even though I may get anxious from time to time, I appreciate your spontaneity, your love and appreciation for the outdoors and the world around us. I know that I am a more patient, flexible, stronger, and overall, better person when you are by my side. You have encouraged me to set goals and accomplish things that I never dreamed of before I met you. Hiking Mt. Washington - or even thinking about going for all 48 4K- I wouldn’t have thought of before I met you. Today and everyday moving forward, I promise to climb all of life’s mountains with you experiencing all the peaks and valleys the climb will bring. I promise to be your rock, steady, strong, and constantly there for you whenever you need it. I promise to reach out to those with us today (and more) to be our compass when we get a little lost. I promise to be your sunshine through every storm and a remind you how much you light up this world. I promise to embrace the ever-changing seasons of our lives together. I promise to nurture our love and watch it grow strong like the trees in the forest. I promise to love you with a depth that is only known by the ocean, or an expanse only known by the stars. Today and every day for the rest of our lives, I promise to love you with everything I have.

Bear with me, We have been attending and speaking at a lot of contentious town meetings lately so it's taken a lot of work to shake some of that sentiment from this. I actually had a really hard time putting this together, firstly because it was pretty late last night, and secondly because I almost always read important speeches and emails out loud to you before using them. Amanda, 12.5 years ago, I walked into the ymca and saw the most beautiful woman behind the desk. From that moment forward you have been a good influence on me. For the first two years- we weren't even together but you had me coming to the gym 5 days a week. This isn't the start of our lives together. We have traveled together in Europe and camped the coast of California. We Ski all over the northeast in the winter and are boating or backpacking every weekend of the summer. There are literally hundreds of stories worth telling here today,--- a lot of them involving the people that sit before us,--- but none of them would fully encapsulate the life that we have been creating. You are strong,-- you are independent and you are my role model in so many ways. When I read something interesting or something good happens at work, you are the first person I want to tell. I find happiness in seeing you happy. I promise to love you through the easy times and the hard times. I vow to walk beside you, whatever life brings. I promise to always be a sounding board and an open, unjudging partner. I vow to foster all of your interests. I promise to grow alongside you. I promise to respect you and to be an ally. I promise to be your biggest fan and supporter And perhaps, most importantly- I promise that you will never need to see what the attic looks like or know where the dump is. I love that you are my teammate, my partner and my biggest supporter. Amanda, I have loved you for 11 years and will continue to love you, every day for the rest of my life. You've said it before, and I'll say it today. You are my person.
